1.
Teacher asks
students about their recent holiday trips.
2.
Teacher asks
students to share their experience during the holiday.
3.
Teacher asks
students if they have visited one of the most beautiful states in Malaysia,
which is Melaka.
4.
Teacher shows
a video on Youtube.com about the interesting places in Melaka.

Activity 1
1.
Teacher asks
students to extract the important information about Melaka as highlighted in
the video.
2.
Teacher lists
out the information extracted into a bubble map.
3.
Now that
students are able to find important information and extract into a bubble map,
teacher tells students that they are going to create an online poster to
promote their own selected tourist attraction site as tour guides.
4.
Teacher shows
a sample of poster promoting Melaka for them to get the idea of how to create
a poster.
5.
Teacher then divides
students into 5 persons per group.
6.
Teacher gives
a state to each different group for them to search about any famous tourist
attraction available there.
7.
Teacher
tells students to search for information and images of the place on Google (where they'll get hands on wider range of websites on the Internet - autonomy is given for students' own learning), and
then create a poster promoting the place and convincing people to visit the
place using postermywall.com.
Activity 2
1.
Teacher tells
all groups to share their poster on a page created by teacher on padlet.com.
2.
Teacher tells
students to present their work at front.
3.
Referring to
the poster (pictures, videos, points of information, etc.), teacher asks
students to practise their speaking skills and play as tour guide to promote
respective tourist attraction place.
Activity 3
1.
Teacher distributes
a worksheet (completing a bubble map) for each student.
2.
Based on the
presentations, teacher asks students to extract the important information
about any one selected tourist attraction site presented.
3.
Teacher distributes
another worksheet (an essay exercise) for students to refer to the information
extracted into the mind map and write an essay using the points.
4.
These exercises
are as follow-up and are expected to submit in the next class.

out the important information about Melaka as they captured from the video.

Students help
teacher to fill in the mind map with the information extracted.
3.
Students are
divided into 5 persons per group.
4.
Each group is
given a state (eg: Penang) and search as much information about any tourist
attraction site available in the state.

in groups to create an online poster promoting the place.

share their posters on padlet.com.
2.
All groups
present their posters and play as tour guides to encourage people to visit
their respective tourist attraction site.

Each student gets
two worksheets; a mind map exercise and an essay exercise.

Follow-up Activity :
Teacher gives a worksheet (writing
an informal letter to a friend about one of the Malaysia’s tourist attraction
site that the student would like to visit) for students to complete at home. To
complete this exercise, students are required to refer to the posters attached
on the padlet.com and the mind map they have filled in.
